Hi, I'm Waseem
& I build things
that scale.
Currently building distribution infrastructure at Tajir (YC W20), serving 100k+ stores across Pakistan. I obsess over clean architecture and products that genuinely solve problems.
I am a software engineer focused on building systems that bridge the gap between complex backend logic and intuitive user experiences. Since graduating from LUMS, I've spent my time working with tools like Python, TypeScript, and Kotlin to build and scale resilient infrastructure.
I prefer straightforward, maintainable solutions and enjoy the challenge of making complex systems feel simple. Beyond my primary work, I contribute to open-source projects like PandasAI & ng-select, and have published research in ESORICS 2023. I'm at my best when working across boundaries—whether that's bridging mobile and backend or translating technical requirements into functional software.

Tajir
YC W20Senior Software Engineer
- Architected and led a team building a full-stack platform using Python, Kotlin (Android/MVVM), and TypeScript (React) with Domain-Driven Design, serving 30K+ DAU and processing 10K+ orders daily
- Drove 42% net revenue growth by designing seven-day delivery and automated order carryover
- Reduced operational costs by 31% (4.5% → 3.1%) through delivery optimizations including zone-based routing, parking spot allocation, and in-sequence delivery
- Engineered GPS tracking and route optimization, achieving 23% fuel savings and 8% higher delivery acceptance
Elevate Security
Acquired by MimecastSoftware Engineer
- Enhanced Reflex, a Django-based human risk management platform serving enterprise clients
- Reduced API response times by 30% by designing caching layers and optimizing data pipelines
Domain-Driven Design in Practice: Lessons from Scaling a B2B Platform

Optimizing Delivery Routes at Scale: GPS Tracking & Zone-Based Routing
Engineering GPS tracking and route optimization that achieved 23% fuel savings across a fleet serving 100K+ stores.
Let's build
something great together.
I'm always looking for the next hard problem to solve. If you're building something ambitious or just want to nerd out about systems design, I'd love to hear from you.
